Last year I made these cute baggies filled with what I call SMORES MIX. I don't remember where I saw the idea, but I thought it was so cute.I made them for Caleb's birthday to take to his class.
But I had a thought that they would be super cute with m&ms instead of chocolate chips, and if you used the valentine ones, they would add that pink and red color pop for the special day. Fill a pretty jar up for a special teacher or something. So many ideas. I was going to do that for my boys teachers this year, but I made something else that I am going to share with you this week.
What you will need is this :
1 bag of mini marshmallows
1 bag of chocolate chips or m&m's
1 box of golden graham cereal
Pour all the stuff into a big bowl and mix.I told you it was THAT simple. :)
Then for his class treats, I just filled some small clear bags up and tied it with a ribbon. I was out of ink at the time I think, or no we had just moved so it was still packed and I couldn't get to my printer yet. So I just hand wrote some tags to go on the bags.
I had a few ideas, and asked my facebook friends for some SMORE birthday quotes for some more ideas. In the end I chose
"thank you for making my birthday SMORE fun!"
You could google search it I am sure and come up with an idea for any occasion, just like if you used this idea for some Valentines Day treats.
I did somehow find my scalloped circle punch and used that for some added fun.
See that, a simple thing to make, but will be so loved by the recipients.
Heck you could even make this and just keep it in a tupperware for a snack to have on hand for the kids.
Make sure though if you send it to school with the kids, that it isn't a hot day because the chocolate chips are sure to melt all over the place in that baggies.. Ask me how I know this :)
