I haven't made any cards in quite a while, so two weeks ago I sat down and make some really simple cards.

I started by tracing a hello and hello friend design from a stamp set I saw online.
I then cut them out on white adhesive cardstock.

I used my blender tool and gave each design an ombre affect. I started at the bottom of each design and worked my way to the top. I used a lighter hand towards the top and applied extra on the bottom.  I used Tim Holtz distress inks.  I have the mini ones in several colors.

Once I was done inking them up I added them to some blank premade white cards I had on hand.
Since it is adhesive cardstock I did not have to get out any glue.  This makes it so easy.

I really liked how they came out but decided that the hello ones I wanted to add a little extra something to.
So I grabbed all my enamel dots, and sequins and rhinestones and color coordinated them to the words on the cards.

I wanted to make several cards so that I can have a few on hand if I need to send any out in the near future.  Since I have none currently I figured this was also a good sentiment because it is very versatile.

Now to sit down and actually write out the cards and get them in the mail. That is on my list of to-do's this week.

Do you like to make card sets when you create basic simple cards?  What is your favorite basic card sentiment?
